01.Dairy food

Among all other dairy products, hard cheese contains a large amount of calcium, which has a calming effect. Carbohydrates intensify the activity of tryptophan, so adding it to cheese can help you sleep better.


Almonds are rich in the amino acid tryptophan, which produces melatonin, often referred to as the “sleep hormone”. In addition, these are full of magnesium, which relieves muscle tension and makes you feel sleepy.


The sugars, potassium and magnesium tryptophan in bananas easily enter your brain and cause drowsiness.


Walnuts contain less tryptophan than almonds, but they also have a melatonin source. Walnut raises the level of this hormone in the blood and research has shown that you feel a little drowsy.


Especially bitter cherries have a relatively high melatonin content. However, eating a few cherries does not make a difference. Drinking a glass of cherry juice will never make you sleepy.

06.Chamomile tea

Chamomile is packed with an amino acid called glycine, which has a mild sedative effect and relaxes the muscles and nervous system. After a cup of chamomile tea, you fall asleep to the point where you can just keep your eyes open and focus on the important things.

In addition to tryptophan, pumpkin seeds contain large amounts of zinc and magnesium. These compounds make you feel relaxed and relaxed and make it difficult to control the urge to fall asleep for a few minutes.

08.White rice

White rice has a high glycemic index, which allows you to fall asleep 3 to 4 hours after you finish your meal. Researchers have found that red rice is more likely to cause this condition than jasmine rice and red rice.

09.Oil fish

The acids in salmon, tuna and other oily fish increase melatonin production. These acids reduce the level of stress hormones in the blood. It is inevitable that you will fall asleep after eating.


Glucose in honey lowers the level of orexin, a neurotransmitter in the brain. That is why drowsiness occurs.
